Day 1: Airport pick-Kampala

Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be met and greeted by your safari guide/driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala for an overnight. However if your flight arrives in the morning, you will have an opportunity to visit some of the interesting places around Kampala. These include the Kasubi Tombs the burial site for 4 kings of Buganda, visit the Uganda Museum for more information about the people and history of Uganda, and visit African Craft Market, Namirembe Cathedral and any other interesting place within the city. Day 2 Transfer to Murchison Falls national park

murchisonal falls national parkOur safari guide will pick you from your hotel/ lodge and transfer you to the northeastern part of Uganda finally to Murchison Falls national park.  You will pass through Luweero Triangle and Nakasongola and perhaps to Masindi. Here you will track the black and white rhinos at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary to support the conservation process of these rare animals; tracking is at a fee of US$40 per person. Have lunch with in the sanctuary and then after proceed up to the top of the falls which provide a fantastic view; from here you will proceed to your booked lodge. Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise

murchison falls national parkThis morning, after breakfast, will be a transfer to the northern bank of the Nile River to catch up with a number of games that inhabit the park. This savannah area of the park is a home to a wide variety of animal species including buffaloes, elephants, giraffe, lion, leopard, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons, antelopes among others, the guide is always available to give you informative information to any species of animal you meet on the way. After this wonderful moment retire back to the lodge for lunch. Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and guided forest walk

Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest national parkAfter breakfast, proceed to the moist tropical rainforest for chimpanzee tracking one of the most tourist activities at the park. Kibale is known for housing the largest number of primate over 13 species live in this park only. Tracking time is unpredictable however it can go from 1-6 hours in the jungle searching for them since meeting them depends on where they spent their last night from. The search for chimpanzee may reward you with other primate species like the grey mangabeys, the black and white colobus monkey, baboons, pottos, bush babies among others. Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

After a hearty breakfast, we shall embark on a transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park Uganda’s biodiversity park. We will arrive at the park in the afternoon for lunch at the lodge,

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking in kyambura gorge

This morning after a cup of tea or coffee you will go for an early morning game drive through the park games expected to see include elephant, buffalo, Uganda kobs, lion, water buck, worthogs among many others. After take a slow drive back to the lodge for lunch, after lunch go to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking. These close relative of man will be searched for within the confines of a forested river gorge carved into the surrounding flat savannah. Chimps are fabulous fan to watch when jumping from one tree to another, take photos as well as learning their behaviors for a period of an hour. After chimp tracking come back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Katara Lodge, Jacana Safari Lodge, Kyambura Game Lodge, Ihamba Lake Side Safari Lodge, and Simba Lodge.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Gorilla Park.

This morning after breakfast drive, you will drive through the ishasha sector of the park, if you are lucky, you will spot the tree climbing lions sited on the fig tree or tree branches, you will be fortunate to see other species of game like the Uganda kobs, elephants, topi, buffaloes and many . You will arrive in the afternoon and go for a walk in the neighboring communities and also get entertainment from the local performances, do shopping of crafts. Retire back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Lodge, Chameleon Hill Lodge, and Lake Mutanda Lodge, Gorilla safari Lodge, Enganzi Lodge, Ruhija Gorilla Friend Camp, and Wagtail

Day 8: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi national impenetrable national park.

After follow the ranger guide to the forest to begin the gorilla tracking activity one of the most done tourist activity at the park. The thrill of spending time with and observing the gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other. Only one hour is allowed to stay with these animals, however searching them is unpredictable it can go from a half to full day since meeting them depends on where they spent their last night from, however you will be entertained by many other forest dwellers like the rare golden monkey, chimps, buffaloes bird species and many more. Day 9: Transfer to Rwanda (Rwanda is GMT +2)

Take breakfast before making a scenic journey to Rwanda the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape, your journey will take you through the winding road and terraced landscape and arrive in Kisoro for lunch and then drive to Uganda/Rwanda border and cross to Rwanda (the crock will go backward for one hour). Day 10: Mountain gorilla tracking and departure

This day is reserved for a second gorilla tracking in the tropical rainforest of volcanoes national park, however the drive will first take you to the park headquarters before 7:30 am to receive gorilla tracking information from the park wardens. After, get deep into the forest following the ranger guide walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. An inspiring moment which can go from a half to full day in the jungle searching for our relatives who shares almost 97% of human genes. A reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes since tracking may involve passing through muddy and sometimes steep mountains. Day11: Transfer to Lake Kiva

Day 12: lake Kivu to Nyunggwe forest national park

On this day you will embark on the transfer to Nyungwe forest national park a home to over 13 species of primates including chimpanzee the most commonly known species at the park, Nyungwe forest is located in the southwestern part of Uganda. You will have a stopover at Butare this is one of the most intercultural towns in Rwanda with very many universities, visit interesting places like the king’s palace at Nyanza, the Butare Museum and Murambi memorial site, have lunch in butare and then continue with your scenic drive up to the park. In the evening go for an optional nature walk or communities walk to meet the neighboring people around the park. Day 13: Chimp tracking-Nyungwe forest national park

Morning breakfast is followed by a transfer to the park headquarters at 8:00 am to receive briefings about chimpanzee tracking. After follow the ranger guide to the forest to begin the search of our close relatives who shares almost 98% of human genes. Chimps are magnificent fan to watch especially when they jump from tree to tree. The time spent searching for our relatives is unpredictable however it can go from 1-6 hours while searching for them as meeting them depends on where they spent their last night from, a reasonable degree of fitness is highly needed, ounce they are met you will forget all the difficulties you’ve passed through and utilize the one hour you are allowed to stay with them. Other species of primates present at the park include the owl-faced monkey, black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, more than 300 Colobus monkeys, mona monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys the list is endless.  After the activity, come back to the lodge for lunch, in the evening, you can go for an optional nature walk. Day 14: Departure

Wake up leisurely for a hearty breakfast and then after if time permits go for Kigali city tour, and shopping around the town, after lunch you will be transferred to Kigali international airport to meet your departure flight back home.
