Day1: Transfer to Bwindi national park
You will be picked up from your hotel by our safari guides and then transfer you to the south western part of Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable national park the home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Stopover will be made at the equator for photography and snacks. From here you will continue to Mbarara for an hour lunch break at (Agip motel), after your drive will take you through Uganda’s rolling green hills through the highlands also known as the ‘’Switzerland of Uganda’’ your road will even head higher to where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga Volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo, continue down into the valley to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Lodge, Chameleon Hill Lodge, Lake Mutanda Lodge, Gorilla safari Lodge, Engazi Lodge, Ruhija Gorilla Friend Camp, Wagtail.
Day 2: Mountain Gorilla tracking- Bwind N.P
Early morning cup of tea/coffee, followed with a transfer to the park headquarters for gorilla tracking information from the park warden. After follow the ranger guide to the forest to begin the gorilla tracking activity one of the most done tourist activity at the park. The thrill of spending time with and observing the gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other. Only one hour is allowed to stay with these animals, however searching them is unpredictable it can go from a half to full day since meeting them depends on where they spent their last night from, however you will be entertained by many other forest dwellers like the rare golden monkey, chimps Bwindi is the only park where chimps and gorillas co-exist in the same environment, buffaloes bird species and many more.
Or if the evening is free, you can go for a community walk to meet the local people around the park (Batwa). Dinner and an overnight at Buhoma Lodge, Chameleon Hill Lodge, Lake Mutanda Lodge, Gorilla safari Lodge, Engazi Lodge, Ruhija Gorilla Friend Camp, Wagtail.
Day 3: Depart to Volcanoes N.P (Parc National Des Volcans)
After breakfast embark on a scenic journey to Rwanda the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape, your journey will take you through the winding road and terraced landscape and arrive in Kisoro for lunch and then drive to Uganda/Rwanda border and cross to Rwanda (the crock will go backward for one hour). Dinner and an overnight at kinigi guest house, gorilla’s hotel, Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge, Gorilla Nest Lodge/ Le Bombou Lodge
Day 4: Mountain gorilla tracking and departure
This day is reserved for gorilla tracking in the tropical rainforest of volcanoes national park, however you will first report to the park headquarters before 7:30 am to receive short briefings about gorilla tracking from the park wardens and also gets you assigned to you the ranger guide. After, get deep into the forest following the ranger guide, walking up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. Day 5: Drive back to Kampala
After breakfast time permitting, you may go for a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi and then after depart to Kampala/hotel /airport to meet your departure flight back home.
